September Baroque Concert

Arts@StPail's Baroque Music Concert

Arts@StPaul's is pleased to announce, 'A Concert of Baroque Music', a musical presentation of continental melodies and songs from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Featuring the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and others, it promises to be a delightful afternoon of music performed by a trio of talented artists:

Barbara Reiter, a lyric soprano who sang more than 45 roles in opera, operetta and musical theater in the provincial opera houses of East and West Germany, returns once again to perform in Marshalltown; Amber Smitherman, a wonderful pianist, has been playing all her life and received her music degree in 2005. She is a teacher at Hoglan Elementary, a piano instructor and plays our baby grand with a delightful touch.

All of this is presented by our Artist in Residence, Hudson Lourenco-Feld, master musician and organist, who once again will offer the audience an unforgettable combination of instrumental and vocal brilliance.

The concert will take place Sunday, September 14th, at 3:00pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 201 E. Church Street, in Marshalltown. The concert is presented free of charge.
