Christmas Concert
The Ames Chamber Artists celebrate the holiday season with a Christmas Concert on December 9th at 7:00pm at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 201 E. Church Street, Marshalltown.
The concert is free of charge, but free-will donations will graciously be accepted.
Ames Chamber Artists is a group of auditioned singers committed to performing challenging choral music. Our membership includes singers from a broad spectrum of educational and vocational backgrounds, joined in the common love of fine choral singing. Founded in 1988, the Ames Chamber Artists has a reputation for exciting programming and superb execution unique among community ensembles.
Christmas Potluck Dinner
Please join us for our holiday potluck dinner in the Conference Room Thursday, December 7th at 6:00pm. This month Mike and Joyce will provide the main dish - a bourbon brown sugar roasted ham. Bring a dish and enjoy the fellowship of your friends from St. Paul’s. Everyone is welcome. Also, this month we will be joined by author Lori Ericson, who will give a short presentation on her book about the spiritual aspects of travel. We hope you can join us.

Please join us for a celebration of Holy Eucharist live streamed from the closing ceremonies of the 2023 Diocesan Convention. This service is being streamed from St. Paul’s Cathedral in Des Moines. Fr. Richard has made arrangements for participants at our own St. Paul’s to receive communion at this service.

Come join us formusic by the Prairie Creek String Band, a Blessing of the Animals, Pumpkin Patch, Games, Quilt Raffle. To celebrate the feast of St. Francis, Father Richard will hold a blessing of the pets. Baked goods available for sale. Please come and enjoy an afternoon at St. Paul’s.

Vestry Meeting
The Vestry meets monthly in the Conference Room to review, discuss and plan issues and events that affect the religious life and physical operation of the church. Not just for vestry members - all parish members are welcome to participate.
Mark Babcock Organ Concert
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is proud to present Mark A. Babcock, Principal Organist of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Des Moines, in concert on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
A native Iowan, Mr. Babcock is the Farver Endowed Chair in Music at Central College, Pella and performs regularly on and off campus. His performances have included engagements in Brazil, China, Italy, and the National Cathedral in Washington.
The organ recital program on July 9th will include classic works by Buxtehude, Bach, and Mendelssohn and feature distinctly American tunes and composers honoring the July 4th holiday. Notably, there will be opportunities for audience participation.
This event is free and open to the public. A free will offering to express appreciation to the artist for his performance will be available.
